conform (verb): to be or become similar in form, nature or character

individual (noun): a distinct, indivisible entity; a single thing, being, instance or item.

“To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best day and night to make you everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight, and never stop fighting.”

E. E. (Edward Estlin) Cummings

Note: I’ve been exploring  two opposing, yet interlinked, concepts: the force for conformity versus the battle for individuality and, importantly, photographically depicting how the two sides may manifest in our appearance and behaviour, even from a young age.  As this is still a work in progress I would really appreciate receiving any comments, thoughts or feedback you might have on this particular collection.
